Project Overview

BiliDesk is a third-party Bilibili desktop client for Windows, built with WPF and .NET 8. It brings the web viewing experience into a native desktop window, playing videos with LibVLC and rendering danmaku in full. It is an unofficial, non-commercial project with no affiliation to Bilibili, and all video content belongs to Bilibili.

Key Features

• Video playback: LibVLC engine with DASH dual-stream audio/video, up to 4K, HEVC preferred
• Danmaku rendering: rolling, top, and bottom types with smart blocking, keyword blacklist, color toggle, and display-area adjustment
• Short video remuxing: videos under 3 minutes download 1080P DASH and are remuxed locally to MP4 for cached playback
• Sponsor segment skip: uses SponsorBlock data to skip sponsored segments (off by default)
• Account and browsing: QR login, history, favorites, watch later, dynamics, and messages, plus partition browsing and search
• Appearance and tray: light, dark, and system themes, with tray residency and automatic update checks

Quick Start

1. Open the Releases page and download the latest version
2. Choose the portable zip for extract-and-run, or the installer (requires the .NET 8 desktop runtime, which the installer will guide you to get)
3. Launch the app and scan the QR code to log in to your Bilibili account
4. Browse partitions or search for videos on the home page and click to play
5. Enable SponsorBlock in settings to skip sponsored segments if desired
