Project Overview

Career Nova2 is a job-hunting desktop workbench that runs on your own machine. It is not SaaS, not multi-user and not cloud-based; everything lives in a single SQLite file on your disk. It handles three things for you: rewriting an old resume into a new version, scraping job listings from recruiting platforms and tracking applications, and querying live market data for your target direction. AI features are optional, and the app works fully without configuring an API key.

• Resume management: uploads PDF/DOCX/Markdown to extract experience automatically, generates and rewrites via chat, with version rollback

Quick Start

1. Download and run the installer from Releases (NSIS installer or portable version)
2. Optional: configure an OpenAI-compatible LLM endpoint in Settings to enable AI features
3. Upload an old resume on the "Resume" page; experience is extracted automatically
4. Pick a platform on the "Applications" page to scrape listings and track applications
5. Change the data directory and backend port in Settings as needed
