Project Overview
DanLaiDanQu is a desktop danmaku overlay tool for macOS and Windows. You paste a Bilibili video link and it floats that video's danmaku above any player (YouTube, Infuse, IINA, QuickTime, and more) as a transparent always-on-top layer, scrolling in sync with the video. It neither plays nor downloads video, focusing only on fetching, rendering, timeline calibration, and display control, so it works with whatever player you prefer. The macOS build uses the system's native liquid glass interface, while the Windows build is based on .NET 8 and WPF.
Brings Bilibili danmaku to any player you already use.
Key Features
- Link parsing: paste a Bilibili link to load danmaku, supporting BV, av, multi-part
?p=, and b23.tv short links - Transparent top layer: the danmaku layer floats above the player, with click-through on Windows
- Timeline calibration: fine-tune by ±1s and ±5s or an exact offset, then save the result for reuse
- Countdown sync: press "sync from 0 in 5 seconds" and start playback when the countdown ends
- Display settings: adjust font size, opacity, scroll duration, display area, and danmaku density
- Blocking rules: filter danmaku by keyword, regex, color, length, and duplicates
- History: continue from a recent watch in one click, restoring your last position
- Global shortcuts: play, pause, seek, and toggle the layer without interrupting the movie
- Danmaku export: export danmaku as ASS and import it as an external subtitle
Target Audience
- Users who watch Bilibili content in a local player
- Viewers who want Bilibili danmaku over other video sources
- macOS or Windows desktop viewers
- Users with detailed demands for danmaku display and blocking
Quick Start
macOS
- Download and install the app from Releases
- Paste a Bilibili link and press Enter to load danmaku
- Click "open danmaku layer" and drag it over the video picture
- Click "sync from 0 in 5 seconds" and start playback when the countdown hits zero
- Use the fine-tune buttons to align the timeline, then save the offset
Windows
- Download the self-contained installer from Releases and install it
- Load danmaku the same way, enable the transparent top layer, and sync the timeline
Core Advantages
- Player-agnostic: works with any software that can play video
- Danmaku only: does not take over video playback or download content
- Easy calibration: countdown sync plus offset fine-tuning aligns progress quickly
- Detailed blocking: multi-dimensional filtering by keyword, regex, color, and length
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | macOS 26 and above; Windows 10 / 11 x64 |
| macOS environment | Xcode 26 and above (for self-building) |
| Windows environment | No .NET runtime required (self-contained installer) |
Notes
- Uses only public APIs that need no login, so danmaku counts match the live pool
- Episode (ep / ss) links and interactive videos are not supported yet
- The top layer may be hidden under native fullscreen, so use window maximization or export ASS instead
- This is an independent third-party tool with no affiliation to Bilibili
