BibaYanji is a Windows hardware verification tool for second-hand or new laptops. It collects CPU, GPU, memory, disk, display and battery data in one pass and adds keyboard, dead-pixel, stress-test and disk benchmark modules, all built on open-source components and system APIs.

Project Overview
BibaYanji targets the moment a second-hand or new laptop arrives: hardware specs are collected automatically in the background and checked item by item against the order, then confirmed with one click. It covers CPU, GPU, memory, disks, network cards, display (with EDID gamut estimation) and battery health.
Beyond spec checks it bundles a 104-key keyboard test, full-screen dead-pixel detection, camera/microphone/speaker checks, prime95 and FurMark stress tests, and CrystalDiskMark disk benchmarks; every module is an independent plugin you can install selectively.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows 10 2004+ / 11 x64 |
| Stack | C#/.NET 10, WPF |
| Stress cores | prime95 (built from GIMPS source), FurMark (OpenTK reimplementation) |
| Distribution | self-contained, no .NET runtime needed |
New laptop in hand: specs, screen, keyboard, stress test and disk in one pass, no more guessing.
Key Features
- Spec verification: grouped cards for CPU/GPU/memory/disk/NIC/display/battery, confirm all good with one click
- Battery health: design capacity, full-charge capacity, wear and cycle count from the same source as powercfg reports
- Keyboard test: visual ANSI 104-key layout, held keys highlight and turn green, progress tracked live
- Dead pixels: full-screen white/red/green/blue/black cycling, screen by screen for dead, bright and dark dots
- AV checks: camera preview, microphone level with playback, speaker test tone, pass all three in one click
- Stress testing: CPU/GPU single and combined burn-ins with four live temperature/power charts, tunable and cleanup-safe
- Disk benchmark: integrated CrystalDiskMark engine, four sequential/random scores saved for review
- Plugin design: every module is a plugin, with zip batch import and selective removal
Target Audience
- Buyers verifying a second-hand laptop on arrival
- Users checking a new machine's configuration
- Repair shops and trade-in resellers
- Hardware enthusiasts focused on cooling and disk performance
Quick Start
- Download the
BibaYanjiSetupinstaller from Releases (about 116 MB, Chinese Inno Setup wizard) - Pick modules during install; skipping stress tests saves about 130 MB
- Launch the app (a UAC prompt grants admin once)
- Work through the left navigation; passing one module jumps to the next
- Once every dot is green, accept the machine with confidence
Core Advantages
- Open collection: hardware data comes entirely from open-source components and Windows built-in APIs
- Modular install: plugin design lets you install only what you need and keep the footprint small
- Trustworthy data: direct SMART reads, EDID gamut estimation, cycle counts aligned with official tools
- Safe burn-ins: multi-layer stop protection leaves no stray stress processes after abnormal exits
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 2004 (19041) / 11 x64 |
| Privileges | Administrator (SMART and sensor reads) |
| Runtime | self-contained, no .NET install needed |
| Build | .NET SDK 10 |
Notes
- Admin required: disk SMART and some sensors are unreadable without elevation, expect one UAC prompt
- Gamut is coverage ratio: display gamut is an EDID-based volume ratio and may exceed 100%
- Unknown means unreadable: fields like disk health show Unknown when unreadable, which is not a hardware fault
- Driver on demand: dual CPU monitoring needs the PawnIO kernel driver, installable silently in-page from the signed official package
