README

Project Overview

BmScriptsBox turns command line scripts into desktop tools as easy as phone apps: install, launch, update and uninstall are all visual, environment dependencies are provisioned by the box itself, and users never need a terminal.

For developers, a single TOML declaration gives a script an auto-generated GUI, scheduled tasks and context-menu hooks; the built-in script community supports one-click search and install, and Webhooks keep scripts updated on every GitHub push.

Item Value
Platform Windows 10/11
Language Python ≥3.8
Script types Python, Node.js, PowerShell, BAT, AutoHotkey, HTML, EXE

Manage scripts like apps, summon the panel with double Ctrl, effortless for users and developers alike.

Key Features

  • Visual script management: install, launch, update and uninstall fully graphical, like managing phone apps
  • Instant summon: open the script panel anytime via middle-click or double Ctrl
  • Global hotkeys: bind a dedicated shortcut to any script, keyboard-only triggering
  • Context menu: mount scripts into the right-click menu, launch on selected files or folders with paths passed in
  • Super copy params: select text and press Ctrl+C twice to pass the clipboard as a script argument
  • Scheduled tasks: one-shot, daily, weekly and monthly rules that run unattended
  • Built-in community: search and install curated scripts in one click, with automatic update checks
  • TOML-generated GUI: developers declare once and get a GUI, scheduling and environment setup automatically

Target Audience

  • Non-technical users who want script-powered efficiency
  • Developers distributing scripts to their teams
  • Ops maintaining many scripts under one roof
  • Python/Node authors adding GUI and scheduling quickly

Quick Start

  1. Download the BmScriptsBox zip from Releases and extract it
  2. Run BmScriptsBox.cmd to start the box
  3. Search the script community for what you need and install in one click
  4. Double-press Ctrl to summon the panel and click a script card to run it
  5. Developers can follow the docs to hook their own scripts in via TOML

Core Advantages

  • Zero command line: environment setup, dependencies and launching all handled by the box
  • Auto-provisioned environments: venvs, FFmpeg/Pandoc tools and HuggingFace models prepared per declaration and shared across scripts
  • One declaration everywhere: the same TOML drives GUI, scheduling and parameter injection
  • Full distribution loop: install from local ZIP, GitHub repos or the community, with Webhook updates on every push
