README
Project Overview
Chrome++ Next (chrome_plus) is a version.dll injection enhancement for Google Chrome: drop the DLL next to chrome.exe and it loads at startup, adding tab, hotkey, portable, command-line and policy features. It focuses on practical browser changes that extensions can't do well and external tools don't solve cleanly.
One DLL that makes Chrome more usable and more portable.
Key Features
- Tab behavior: double-click/right-click to close tabs, wheel switching, hover activation, last tab keeps the window
- Boss key: hide and restore Chrome windows, muting and restoring audio along the way
- Key remapping: map keys to other combinations or Chrome command IDs via
keymapping, plus a translate hotkey - Portable data: override
data_dirandcache_dir - Command line: append arbitrary Chromium switches via
command_line - Startup/exit hooks: run programs with
launch_on_startup/launch_on_exit - Environment control:
ignore_policiesfor enterprise policies and suppression of the false out-of-date notice on portable installs
