README

Project Overview

ManXia is a comprehensive reading app built for HarmonyOS Next with ArkTS and C++, covering manga, ebooks, and novels. It imports Legado book sources for online search, loads both WebView and API image sources for manga, and imports local comics and ebooks. The interface follows HarmonyOS design guidelines with automatic dark/light switching and custom themes.

Manga, ebooks, and novels, gathered into one HarmonyOS reader.

Key Features

  • Multiple image sources: supports both WebView and API source types with an extensible source system
  • Web novels: compatible with the Legado book source format, importing many sources with custom typography and cleaning rules
  • Global search: searches across image and book sources to find content quickly
  • Reading experience: manga supports single, double, webtoon, and continuous scroll modes, while novels allow custom typography rules
  • Local management: import local manga, and read ebooks in EPUB, PDF, TXT, MOBI, AZW3, and Markdown
  • Source login: log in to image source accounts to reach personal favorites and history
  • Image processing: built-in descrambling for special sources
  • Offline reading: download caching for manga and novels
  • Reading stats: time and progress statistics, plus a reading-goal widget

Target Audience

  • Manga and novel readers on HarmonyOS Next phones
  • People who want manga, ebooks, and novels in one app
  • Users who want to reuse Legado book sources
  • Readers who like custom themes and backgrounds

  4. Import image sources or Legado book sources, or import local manga and ebooks

Core Advantages

  • Three-in-one reading: manga, ebooks, and novels share one interface and bookshelf
  • Source ecosystem: compatible with the Legado book source format, so community sources carry over
