Project Overview

This is a third-party Windows desktop client for ITHome built with WinUI 3, replacing the long-unmaintained official UWP client. It follows a modern Windows 11 design and adapts between a three-column wide layout, a two-column medium layout and a single-column narrow layout, with typography and interaction tuned for the desktop.

Key Features

• News feed: the home page aggregates channels, with channel switching, one-click refresh and infinite scrolling
• Article body: rendered in a built-in view, with click-to-zoom images, scroll zoom, double-click switching and saving
• Comments: articles and community posts support hot / latest sorting, nested replies, likes and replies
• Community: post streams switch between latest replies, latest posts and latest reviews, with hot topics and user pages
• Shopping picks: a product feed and best-seller list with category filters and a tip submission entry
• Account center: collects comments, posts, favorites and history, tied into comments and community after login
• Appearance and settings: light / dark themes, Mica and Acrylic window backgrounds, adjustable font size, font and reading preferences
• Adaptive layouts: the window automatically switches between three-column, two-column and single-column layouts as it is resized

Quick Start

1. Download the portable archive or the MSIX package from the Releases page
2. For the portable build, unzip anywhere and run ITHomeWinUI.exe, never from inside the archive
3. For the MSIX build, first import the bundled certificate into Trusted Root Certification Authorities, then double-click to install
4. Optionally sign in to your ITHome account; comments, favorites and history then sync to the account center
5. Resize the window and the layout switches between three, two and one column automatically

Notes

• The app is not commercially code-signed, so SmartScreen may appear on first run; choose More info then Run anyway
• With the MSIX build you must import the certificate into Trusted Root Certification Authorities, or installation fails with a certificate chain error
• Local data (history, favorites and settings) lives in %LocalAppData%\ITHomeWinUI\; delete that folder to clean up fully
• This is an unofficial third-party client unrelated to ITHome, and all news content belongs to the original authors
