Project Overview

ZCode Pro is a UI enhancement tool for the ZCode desktop version. Enhancements are automatically enabled when ZCode is launched through "ZCode Pro"; official application files are not modified, and ZCode restores to its original state on exit.

To open settings: After launching ZCode Pro, right-click the settings button (gear icon) at the bottom of the ZCode sidebar to open the ZCode Pro settings window.

Key Features

  • Project custom aliases: Set custom names for sidebar projects, used only for display, effective immediately
  • Project folder switching: Point a project to another folder; the sidebar project list, open tabs, and local task history migrate together
  • Session sorting: Drag sessions in pinned, project, and group session lists to reorder; the order is remembered
  • File menu enhancements: Right-click menu for file links in sessions adds "Open with default app" and "Open containing folder"
  • UI style adjustments: Fine-tune paragraph spacing, content width, question line height, answer line height, list spacing, quote and code block spacing
  • Global prompts: Edit default instructions shared by all projects, written to ~/.zcode/AGENTS.md, automatically injected into every session of all projects

Quick Start

  • Linux / macOS: git clone https://github.com/duanluan/zcode-pro.git && cd zcode-pro && ./scripts/install.sh
  • Windows: git clone https://github.com/duanluan/zcode-pro.git && cd zcode-pro && powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File scripts\install.ps1
  • AUR: Refer to the AUR installation instructions in the repository
