README
Project Overview
SuiVision is a local-first desktop tool for searching video resource links, aimed primarily at Windows and macOS. It first recognizes and expands the media entity behind your keywords, then searches several public disk-search sources concurrently and groups the results by confidence with ranking reasons, so you can judge which link is worth opening.
Type a title and gather results from several public search sources in one place.
Key Features
- Search workbench: a main keyword box with source selection, disk-type filter and exact-match option
- Entity recognition and expansion: normalizes mixed keywords into more accurate media search terms before searching
- Four-layer source pool: public page sources, CMS sources, indexers and local rule plugins, each toggled separately
- Concurrent search: searches several sources at once, and one failing source does not block the others
- Source coverage panel: shows returned counts, failures and disabled sources by pool type
- Grouped results: splits results into high-confidence, possible and low-confidence groups with ranking reasons
- Result details: actions to resolve, copy and open the target link
- Local sign-in: caches only the username, display name and login time on this machine, never the password or a token
- Settings: configure self-hosted search endpoints, content-source endpoints and an optional media metadata API key
Target Audience
- Users who often look for video disk resources
- Users who want to compare results across several public search sources
- Users who prefer local tools and do not want their data uploaded
Quick Start
- Download and install the package for your system from Releases
- Open the app and type a title, actor or genre in the main keyword box
- Pick sources, disk type and exact matching as needed, then start the search
- Check the coverage panel to see which sources returned results and which failed
- Pick a target in the grouped results and open its details to copy or open the link
- To enrich media candidates, enter your own metadata API key in settings
Core Advantages
- Local first: no private server connection, and no accounts, cookies or private tokens stored
- Transparent sources: returned, failed and disabled sources are separated so search quality is visible
- Finds links without touching content: only discovery, indexing and opening links, with no downloads or access-control bypass
- Extensible: local rule plugins and multi-source configuration let you adjust the search scope yourself
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows, macOS |
| UI framework | A Tauri desktop app with no extra runtime needed |
Notes
- Search quality depends on external public sites, so network blocking, anti-crawling rules or page changes can affect results
- Built-in public page sources only search, parse and hand off links, and provide no download capability
- Local sign-in stores no password or token; signing out is the way to clear the cache
- The media metadata API key is optional, and local rules and resource sources still work without it
