Project Overview
WinScript is a lightweight, easy-to-use Windows optimization tool: pick tweaks in a visual interface and it generates the matching PowerShell script for you. It covers four scenarios — debloating, privacy, performance, and app installation. You can uninstall preinstalled apps and components, disable telemetry and background syncing, enable the Ultimate Performance plan, and bulk install favorite apps. All scripts run locally and are fully reviewable, making it ideal for fresh Windows setup.

Key Features

- Privacy: turn off telemetry across Windows, Office, and Search; restrict app permissions and background sync, including third-party collection by Adobe, VS Code, and Nvidia
- Performance: enable the Ultimate Performance plan, reduce mouse input delay, disable Superfetch and Storage Sense, tune Defender CPU usage
- App installer: pick from a catalog of popular apps and generate Chocolatey or Winget install scripts
- Unattended setup: build a custom autounattend.xml to bypass Win11 hardware checks, create local accounts, and run your script after install
- Config import: pass -i to load a configuration file and reuse a previous setup
Target Audience
- Users setting up a fresh Windows install
- Privacy-conscious power users
- Technicians provisioning machines in batches
- Users who want one-click app installation

Core Advantages
- What you see is what runs: every tweak maps to readable PowerShell commands you can review first
- One-stop coverage: debloat, privacy, performance, and installs in a single interface

Notes
- Irreversible actions: uninstalling components and changing services can affect functionality; review each option first
- Security trade-offs: tweaking Defender and telemetry changes protection levels; choose deliberately
- Code signing: releases are signed for free via SignPath, so the source can be verified at install time
