Project Overview

JQ Viewer is a third-party Android comic reader that combines search, favorites, downloads, local reading, PDF import and export and batch parsing into one mobile interface. It supports an online favorites folder after signing in and an offline favorites folder without signing in, for people who want to organize and read comics more comfortably on a phone.

• Several search methods: search by keyword, ID, author, tag and characters
• Categories and filters: category browsing plus sorting and time-range filters
• Reading experience: horizontal paging and vertical scrolling, with brightness, keep-awake, volume-key paging and orientation settings
• Favorites and history: online and offline favorites side by side, with search, move, copy and batch download inside a folder
• Download management: a chapter download queue with pause, resume, retry and delete, readable offline once downloaded
• PDF export: custom folder, file name template, splitting and background progress notifications
• PDF import: import local PDFs and match them to works and chapters where possible
• Batch parsing: extract IDs from multiple lines of text and then search, favorite or download in bulk
• Image text recognition: optionally read text from screenshots to help with IDs in images
• Settings and diagnostics: view image cache and network status, and export settings

Quick Start

1. Download the APK from Releases and install it; Android 7.0 or later is required
2. Open the app and search by keyword, ID or author for a title you want
3. Open a work's detail page, pick chapters, preview first, then add them to the download queue
4. Once downloaded, open the content from the detail or download page for offline reading
5. Adjust paging mode, brightness, keep-awake and orientation in reading settings
6. For long-term storage, export chapters to PDF, or import existing local PDFs and match chapters
