Project Overview
Glance is a Windows desktop widget layer that places freely arrangeable tiles for clock, weather, calendar, to-do and lyrics on the desktop. It is built with Flutter and Win32, runs as a single process, and needs no resident service.
Key Features
- Clock: digital clock with 24/12-hour mode and optional seconds
- Weather: Xiaomi weather data with current conditions plus a 5-day forecast, IP-based auto location or manual city input
- Calendar: monthly view with lunar calendar, 24 solar terms and holidays, click a date to see a countdown
- To-do: local checklist with inline due dates
- Lyrics: reads the music currently playing system-wide (NetEase Cloud Music plus LRCLIB), with scrolling lyrics, cover art and progress control

Quick Start
- Prepare Flutter (Windows desktop) and the Visual Studio C++ toolchain
- Run flutter build windows --release in the project directory
- Launch the generated build/windows/x64/runner/Release/glance.exe
- Configure widgets and layout in the taskbar settings window

Notes
- Releases use tool/build_release.bat, which builds via Inno Setup into a portable installer in installer/out/
- The single source of the version number is the version field in pubspec.yaml; the changelog is generated by git-cliff from commit messages
- Files under the test directory are preview and logo generation tools rather than assertion tests
