README
Project Overview
FocuBili is a third-party Bilibili client for Android and Windows that emphasizes active search and focused viewing. Built with Flutter, it aims to preserve the act of finding a video on purpose and watching it attentively: the home page offers no infinite recommendation feed, and search, BV IDs and video links are the main entry points.
Key Features
- Focus timer: set goals with 25/45/60-minute shortcuts or custom 1-180 minute durations, resume tasks after backgrounding or restart, and view focus statistics
- Search and video details: supports keywords, BV IDs and video links, with suggestions, search history, sorting and category filters
- Native player: Android Media3 plays DASH video and audio directly, with quality and speed switching, subtitles and danmaku, picture-in-picture, brightness/volume gestures and bounded progressive caching
- Timestamped notes: create on-device notes at a video timestamp and save the current frame, with export and sharing
- UP homepage: uploader search and multiple sortings, showing profile header, posts, articles and collections
- Read-only account data: view favorites, follows and subscriptions read-only, with account writes protected by read-only mode by default
- Cross-platform: Windows offers a native desktop window, single-instance guard and QR login; Android supports launching from the system share sheet
Target Audience
- Bilibili users who want to cut recommendation noise and focus on studying or watching
- Users who need timestamped notes and focus statistics while watching
- Developers and researchers interested in Flutter cross-platform and native DASH playback
Quick Start
- Download the Android APK, the Windows x64 EXE installer or the portable ZIP from GitHub Releases
- On Windows, most users should use the installer; for the portable build, extract it fully and run FocuBili.exe
- To build from source, clone the repository and run flutter pub get, dart analyze and flutter test
- Run flutter build apk --release or flutter build windows --release to produce artifacts
Core Advantages
- Search-first design with no infinite recommendation feed on the home page to reduce distraction
- Focus timer is tied to playback and only counts time while a video actually plays
- Account data is read-only by default; likes, coins, favorites and follows require turning off protection
- Notes, playback history, search history and cookies stay on the device; there is no self-hosted server
- Player, control bar, danmaku, collections and Android Media3 track strategy are modularized
System Requirements
- OS: Android 7.0 (API 24) or higher, Windows 10 1809 or higher
- Architecture: Android, Windows x64
- Additional dependencies: build needs Flutter 3.44.6, Dart 3.12.2, JDK 21, Android SDK 36, Android NDK 28.2.13676358 and Visual Studio 2022 Build Tools; generating the Windows installer also needs Inno Setup 6
Notes
- This is a personal learning and research project, not an official Bilibili client and not affiliated with Bilibili
- It relies on unofficial APIs that may break or trigger rate limiting as platform policies change
- Content protected by access control such as paid, membership, courses, anime and private items is never bypassed
- Timestamped notes are stored only on the device with manual export and system sharing, and there is no automatic sync or cloud backup yet
- Without commercial code signing, Windows may show an unknown publisher warning, and MSIX is not distributed as a formal installer until it is trusted-signed
