Project Overview

This plugin lets the MPV player load danmaku, built on the uosc interface framework and the dandanplay open danmaku network. It automatically identifies the video, matches it to an anime or series on dandanplay, and loads the corresponding comments, so you need not download or convert danmaku files yourself. It is a performance-optimized fork of uosc_danmaku that caches escape and font-size processing and uses dedicated binary search to cut Lua overhead during playback.

Quick Start

1. Download the plugin from Releases and rename the folder to uosc_danmaku, then place it under scripts in your mpv config directory
2. Give the files under the bin directory executable permission
3. Add the danmaku search button and toggle to the controls entry in script-opts/uosc.conf
4. Restart mpv and play a video; the plugin matches and loads danmaku automatically
5. To search manually, click the danmaku search button on the control bar and pick an episode
6. To enable auto-loading, set auto_load=yes in script-opts/uosc_danmaku.conf

Notes

• Without the uosc framework, some graphical features such as style and delay menus are unavailable

• Hash-based auto-loading is not always accurate; manually reload when it matches the wrong episode
• Danmaku comes from the dandanplay open danmaku network; some shows may lack danmaku or have timing offsets
