Project Overview

MPV Vanta Edition is a personally customized portable MPV player bundle that splits the playback core, shaders, VapourSynth interpolation, AI subtitles, and personal config into four numbered packages; extracting them in order over the same directory yields a complete, ready-to-use player. It ships with a three-in-one helper, VantaInstaller, that combines install, uninstall, and settings into a single executable with no .NET runtime needed. When GitHub is hard to reach, the same volumes can be fetched from a mirror.

Quick Start

1. Download the VantaInstaller-win-x64 tool from Releases and run it
2. In the install wizard, select the directory containing packages 01 through 04, or tick "download and install"
3. The tool verifies each package with SHA-256 and extracts them in Base -> Extras -> Faster-Whisper -> Config order
4. After installation you can optionally register file associations, with multi-instance ticked by default
5. Run mpv.exe to start playing
6. To update only your personal config, download the latest Config package and extract it over the existing files

Notes

• The four package types must be overlaid from the lowest to the highest number, with Config installed last
• Updating only the config usually means extracting the Config package; download the core or shaders package when updating those
• The personal full package contains private runtime state and tools and is for local backup only, not public upload
• File associations are written to the current user, and the multi-instance and single-instance entries are independent
• Component licenses are in each source file and follow the original authors' terms
