Project Overview
During a service, scripture must reach both the pulpit and the big screen, and flipping slides by hand is tedious. ShengYan Projector takes a dual-window model: pick and lay out verses in the control window while the projection window displays them to the congregation, fully offline throughout. Built on Electron 22 (Chromium 108 baseline) as a Windows app, it bundles scripture, fonts, and textures, with zero external requests audited at runtime, working even with the cable unplugged.
Offline scripture projection built for churches, pick verses on the control window and show them on the big screen.

Key Features
- Dual-window projection: the projection window is created only when you click Project, auto-fullscreening to a second display or becoming a floating preview on a single screen
- Cascading picker: book, chapter, start verse, and end verse in one four-column dialog that closes on selection
- Paragraph layout: verses flow as natural paragraphs with superscript verse numbers you can turn off
- Verse-level highlight: the current verse lights up at sentence level so the congregation can follow along
- 8 preset themes: Ink Gold, Cream, Deep Blue, Parchment, Dark Green, Charcoal Gold, Mist White high contrast, and Wine Gold, defaulting to Ink Gold
- 4 font choices: serif subset, sans subset, Kai, or system default, with font files bundled
- 3 background modes: built-in texture, custom image, or solid color, mutually exclusive
Interface & Operation
- Scrolling: the projection window scrolls as a vertical stream with inertial glide after dragging
- Shortcuts: PgUp/PgDn scroll a screen, Up/Down move the highlight, auto-following when it leaves the screen
- Progress bar: a thin bottom bar fades out and hides entirely after 3 idle seconds
- Quick hide: no black-screen keys needed, just click Cancel Projection to destroy the window
Target Audience
- Church volunteers running scripture projection
- Group leaders showing verses on a TV
- Venues requiring a fully offline setup
Quick Start
- Download bible-projector-Setup-0.9.2.exe (about 67 MB) from Releases, or pick the portable or ZIP build

- Connect the TV or projector in extended mode (Win+P, Extend) and click Project to fill the second screen
- Settings and history live in %APPDATA%/圣言投屏 and survive uninstall, clean up manually if needed
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|

| Disk | About 200 MB |
| Network | Not required |
Notes
- Win7 untested: the Windows 7 SP1 plus Electron 22 combination has never been verified on real hardware, do a first install on the target machine before formal use
- Signing notice: the installer is not code-signed, so a first SmartScreen prompt is expected
- Feature limits: vertical text, cross-chapter selection, and network backgrounds are not supported
- Kai fallback: the Kai font is not bundled and relies on the system fallback chain, which works offline since Windows ships a Kai font
