ClawApp is a mobile chat client for the OpenClaw AI agent. It solves the problem of phones being unable to connect directly to the OpenClaw Gateway via a WebSocket proxy service, supporting streaming chat, image sending/receiving, tool calls, Markdown rendering, voice input, offline caching, and more. Available as both a PWA and an Android APK.

Project Overview
ClawApp lets you chat with your OpenClaw AI agent from your phone browser. OpenClaw is a powerful AI agent platform, but its Gateway only listens on localhost (127.0.0.1:18789) by default, so phones cannot connect directly. ClawApp solves this: the phone browser (on any network) connects through a WebSocket proxy server (ClawApp Server, port 3210, with offline caching) to the OpenClaw Gateway (port 18789). The proxy server automatically completes Ed25519 device signature handshake authentication (compatible with OpenClaw 2.13+) and provides an H5 chat page that works right away without installing an app.
Key Features
- Real-time streaming chat (typewriter effect)
- Image sending/receiving (camera/album upload, AI image replies)
- Markdown rendering + code highlighting (XSS protection)
- Quick command panel (/model, /think, /new, etc.)
- Real-time tool call status display
- Voice input (speech-to-text, requires HTTPS)
- Multi-agent support (choose different Agents when creating sessions)
- Session management (switch, create, delete)
- Theme switching (light / dark / follow system)
- Chinese/English switching
- Smart reconnection (auto-recovery, no flicker, message deduplication)
- Token / Password + Ed25519 device authentication (compatible with OpenClaw 2.13+)
- Offline message caching (IndexedDB persistence, view history offline, auto-sync on recovery)
- New user onboarding
- PWA support (add to home screen, offline available)
- Android APK packaging
