README

Project Overview

WebHomeTV is an Android media app built on the FongMi/TV and CatVod ecosystem, keeping VOD, live TV, Spider crawlers, player parsing, casting and local HTTP services while adding WebHome custom homepages, a native SDK, a management page, remote hosting, WebHome extensions, login-state learning and sync, cloud-drive link checking, site health ranking, playback-record sync and Nostr/TMDB recommended homepages.

Key Features

  • VOD, live TV, Spider crawlers, parsing, casting and local HTTP services
  • Cloud-drive share link validity checking via WebHome and local HTTP API
  • Site health ranking that learns search, detail and playback success rates
  • LAN management page for files, login state, sync folders, site injection and APIs
  • Remote hosting through self-built Cloudflare, Deno, Vercel, Go or Rust relay services
  • One-tap sync of settings, source data, login state, watch history and app configuration
  • Site injection and WebHome extensions to customize homepages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Playback-record sync, webhook reporting and crawler HTTP APIs

Target Audience

  • Users who want a self-hosted media aggregation experience on TV or mobile
  • Developers who want to customize the player homepage with web technologies
  • Advanced users who need remote management and data sync across devices

Quick Start

  1. Clone the repository and enter the directory
  2. Create local.properties with sdk.dir pointing to your Android SDK path
  3. Run bash gradlew :app:assembleMobileArm64_v8aDebug to build the mobile app
  4. Run bash gradlew :app:assembleLeanbackArm64_v8aDebug to build the TV app
  5. Install the APK and configure sites and homepages in the enhanced features settings

Core Advantages

  • Keeps the mature CatVod ecosystem and Spider system with existing configs
  • Turns CSP site homepages into programmable web apps with native SDK capabilities
  • Covers cloud-drive checking, health ranking, remote hosting and playback sync
  • Provides full troubleshooting entries from the management page to debug logs

System Requirements

  • OS: Android (mobile and TV)
  • Architecture: arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a
  • Build environment: JDK 21, Python 3.10, Android SDK Platform 37, Build Tools 37.0.0

Notes

  • Building requires JDK 21 and Python 3.10; other versions will fail
  • Regular Android dependencies still need network access; configure a proxy if needed
  • This software is for technical learning only; follow local laws and copyright rules
