README
Project Overview
APAudio is a small Windows desktop tool that forwards audio from a phone or tablet to the computer over Bluetooth. It uses the built-in Windows AudioPlaybackConnection to establish the audio link, and phone and computer audio can play at the same time. It suits users who wear headphones while gaming and want to hear their phone.
Let the computer play your phone's audio, with both audio streams running side by side.
Key Features
- Bluetooth audio receiving: receives audio from a paired phone or tablet and plays it on the PC
- Device enumeration: lists devices already paired with Windows that support Bluetooth audio
- Simultaneous playback: phone audio and computer audio play at the same time
- Connection control: connect, disconnect and refresh the device list
- Theme adaptation: follows the Windows light or dark theme
Target Audience
- Users who wear headphones while gaming and still want phone audio
- Users who need to play phone content aloud while working on a computer
Quick Start
- Pair the phone or tablet with the computer in Windows "Settings → Bluetooth & devices"
- Launch
ApAudio.exe - Choose the phone or tablet from the "Bluetooth audio source" dropdown
- Click "Connect" and play audio on the phone; sound comes out of the default playback device
- Click "Disconnect" when done
Core Advantages
- No setup: built on the native Windows audio link, works once devices are paired
- Non-intrusive: phone and computer audio play together without blocking each other
- Lightweight single file: published as a self-contained single-file program, usually no separate .NET runtime needed
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 version 19041 or later |
| Runtime | .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (for the framework-dependent build) |
| Prerequisite | Phone and tablet paired via Windows Bluetooth |
Notes
- Audio always goes to the current Windows default playback device; the app cannot pick a device, so use the Windows volume mixer instead
- The app does not capture audio frames itself
- If the device list is empty, make sure the phone is paired and supports Bluetooth audio, then click "Refresh"
