README

Project Overview

Aura face VR Player is a professional-grade VR player for Android phones and tablets, supporting 360°/180° panoramas, fisheye and standard flat projections, and 3D SBS/TAB stereo video. It bundles real-time AI face beauty and 3D LUT cinematic color grading, and offers offline speech-to-subtitle for many languages and dialects plus online translation. Playback supports gyro tracking and automatic multi-kernel routing, and it can play LAN media over SMB.

A mobile VR player combining beauty, color grading, and offline subtitles.

Key Features

  • VR playback: four projections (360°/180° panorama, fisheye, standard flat), 3D SBS/TAB stereo, and gyro tracking
  • Video enhancement: MEMC motion-compensated interpolation and FSR upscaling with default and custom tiers
  • Real-time AI beauty: switchable GLSL/GPUPixel engines with portrait retouch and frequency-separation smoothing
  • 3D LUT grading: several built-in LUTs plus custom .cube import
  • Subtitles and ASR: a bundled offline ASR model covering many languages and Chinese dialects with language detection
  • Online subtitle translation: multiple engines with a local translation memory
  • LAN playback: browse and stream over SMB, with a caching data source for smoother remote seeking
  • Multi-kernel compatibility: EXO/IJK/MPV/system kernels with container allowlist auto-routing

Target Audience

  • Users watching VR and 3D video on phones
  • Creators who need beauty filters and cinematic grading
  • Deaf and foreign-language users needing offline multi-language subtitles
  • Users playing large video files over a LAN

Quick Start

  1. Download the universal-architecture APK from Releases and install it
  2. Open the app and grant the required media and network permissions
  3. Pick a local or SMB media file to start playback
  4. Switch projection and stereo modes on the player page and enable beauty or LUT
  5. Turn on speech transcription or choose a translation engine when subtitles are needed

Core Advantages

  • Highly integrated: VR, beauty, grading, and subtitles live in one player
  • Works offline: the ASR model is bundled, so subtitles are generated without a network
  • Kernel fallback: four decoder kernels with auto-routing cover niche formats
  • LAN friendly: SMB direct play and a caching data source keep remote seeking smooth

System Requirements

Item Requirement
OS Android 7.0 (minSdk 24) and above
Architecture One universal package (arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a, x86_64, x86)
Build environment JDK 17+ and Android SDK (source builds)
Storage The package is large, so reserve enough space

Notes

  • 8K decoding is experimental and off by default; enabling it may produce artifacts or fail
  • Gyro yaw may drift over long sessions; double-tap to recenter the view
  • Free translation endpoints are rate-limited; heavy use is better served by your own endpoint
  • Video enhancement only applies during video playback and depends on the source resolution
