README

Project Overview

Jianji is an Android bookkeeping app for personal use. All data is stored only on the local device, never through any server; optional Jianguoyun (WebDAV) daily automatic backup is available. Current version 1.0.5 (versionCode 6). Based on a Chinese-localized fork of Ivy Wallet.

Key Features

  • Local bookkeeping, all data stored only on the device
  • Optional Jianguoyun (WebDAV) daily automatic backup
  • Backup filenames include device name + source + timestamp
  • Manual backup support (backup once now)
  • Automatic snapshot of current state before restore
  • Debounced sync after bookkeeping only refreshes the latest version without writing archives, avoiding dozens of files per day filling up the cloud drive
  • Credentials never in database or code; Jianguoyun account and app password stored only in local DataStore
  • Bill import support

Target Audience

  • Android users
  • Users who need local bookkeeping with privacy focus
  • Users who use Jianguoyun WebDAV for backup
  • Users who like the Ivy Wallet style

Quick Start

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/xudou1992/jizhang.git
  2. Build Debug APK: ./gradlew :app:assembleDebug
  3. Output at jizhang-native/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk
  4. Install on your Android device
  5. Fill in your Jianguoyun account and app password on the backup page (if backup is needed)

Core Advantages

  • All data stored only on the device, never through any server
  • Jianguoyun WebDAV daily automatic backup with clear file naming
  • Automatic snapshot before restore for recovery from mistakes
  • Credentials stored only in local DataStore; no defaults kept in source code
  • Single-module structure; from editing one UI line to package output takes about 30 seconds

System Requirements

  • OS: Android
  • Tech stack: Kotlin 2.0.20, Jetpack Compose 1.6.8, Material3, Room 2.6.1 (KSP), WorkManager 2.9.1, DataStore, Ktor + OkHttp
  • Build environment: Gradle 8.9 / AGP 8.6.1, compileSdk 35 / buildTools 35.0.1 / targetSdk 34, JDK 17
  • Additional dependencies: A Jianguoyun account required for WebDAV backup (optional; local bookkeeping works fully without it)

Notes

  • Jianguoyun account and app password are stored only in local DataStore, filled in by the user on the backup page; no defaults are kept in the source code
  • App icon and empty-state illustrations are AI-generated; originals are in assets-src/
