README

Project Overview

RMT is a free, open-source macro tool built on AutoHotkey v2 that aims to let users automate many tasks through simple configuration. It records and replays keyboard, mouse, and gamepad macros, and adds visual judgment through image, color, and text recognition. Combined with logical decisions, flow control, and multithreaded execution, it can build fairly complex automation flows. It applies well to game assistance, office automation, and everyday scripting.

Let code handle the tedious work and save your time for what matters.

Key Features

  • Multiple macro types: record and replay keyboard, mouse, and gamepad macros
  • Visual recognition: image recognition, color recognition, multi-point color picking, and text recognition
  • Logic and flow: logical decisions, flow control, and command chaining with multithreaded execution
  • Timed and menu macros: timed triggers and menu macros that drive the interface in sequence
  • Background search: search for images and text in the background without interrupting foreground work
  • Editor and variable watch: a built-in editor with graphical editing and live variable monitoring
  • Configuration management: save, share, and download macro configs to reuse others' work
  • Spreadsheet handling: read and write Excel for bulk office data work
  • Graphical editing and UI macros: graphical editing and interface macros lower the authoring barrier

Target Audience

  • Office users who want to cut repetitive mouse and keyboard work
  • Gamers who need to record gamepad or key macros
  • Advanced users who prefer building automation flows visually

Quick Start

  1. Download the latest version from GitHub Releases, or use the alternative download channels
  2. Extract it, run the main program, and open the graphical editor
  3. Create a macro and choose the command types you need, such as key, mouse, gamepad, or recognition commands
  4. Record your actions or add and adjust commands manually, then set the trigger
  5. Save the config to enable it at any time; you can also download macros from the config-sharing repository
  6. Follow the official getting-started guide to understand the core terms and configuration logic

Core Advantages

  • Visual configuration: build automation flows in the editor without writing code
  • Strong recognition: image, color, and text recognition let macros react to the screen
  • Shareable configs: export and download macro configs to reuse community work
  • Free and open source: built on AutoHotkey v2 and open for review and modification

System Requirements

Item Requirement
OS Windows
Runtime Bundled with the release, no separate AutoHotkey install
Download sources GitHub Releases, Gitee, plus netdisk mirrors

Notes

  • Netdisk downloads may be incomplete or removed by system security software, so prefer the official release channels
  • Follow the target software and platform terms when automating
  • Some macros rely on screen recognition, so keep the interface consistent with the recording
  • Read the official getting-started guide first to understand triggers and flow control
