Project Overview

Hongguo Downloader is a Windows desktop tool for Hongguo short dramas (Tomato Novel short drama channel / novelread series). Built with Electron + React + Node.js, it features built-in ByteDance short drama API protocol and CENC-AES-CTR native streaming decryption engine: browse/search episodes, batch download by selection and auto-decrypt to watermark-free MP4, with built-in player, online playback, and one-click merge, forming a complete loop of "discover → download → watch → clean up".

Key Features

• Browse: Filter by category (live-action / comic / AI drama / manga) and genre (urban / counterattack / costume / fantasy…), cards show cover, total episodes, and download progress
• Search: Enter drama name and use built-in browser to sniff search results
• Episode details: Automatically parses all episodes, grid shows each episode's status; supports quick selection or interval syntax for batch selection
• Player: Watch while downloading, supports continuous play toggle, compatibility mode, auto-delete after watching, download incomplete episodes, merge and export; online playback available for not-yet-downloaded episodes
• Download management: Real-time display of in-progress/completed/failed; supports one-click start, pause, retry all failed, scan directory for registration, one-click merge of current drama
• Merge: Supports fast merge (original quality direct concatenation) or compatible merge (transcode to H.264)
• Settings: Download directory, file naming template, max concurrency, network proxy
