README
Project Overview
HXZ is a launcher suite built around a Minecraft player community. Its Windows side is a card-style desktop launcher for instance management, modpack installation, and account login, while the Android side is a full community client. It also ships a self-hostable community server that bundles a web console, inbox, activity rewards, music authorization, and a multiplayer lobby. All three share one community account and content set.
Beyond launching the game, it brings a whole player community along.
Key Features
- Instances and modpacks: create, import, and manage Minecraft instances, with modpack installation support
- Account management: multiple login methods including premium and offline
- Community forum: a built-in forum and blueprint library to browse, share, and download player blueprints
- Unified shop layout: personalized, forum, blueprint, and shop sections share one layout
- Community server: one package includes the web console, inbox, activity rewards, and music authorization
- Multiplayer lobby: prefers direct connections or an existing virtual LAN, with a rate-limited relay when direct connection fails
- Card-style interface: the Windows side uses a card layout with customizable header images and adaptive arrangement
- Multi-platform coverage: Windows (x64 / ia32) and Android 10+ clients offer the same features
- Automatic updates: the installed build supports signed auto-update and keeps existing accounts and settings
- Chat and voice: built-in community chat and voice communication
Target Audience
- Players on the HXZ server
- Minecraft players who like community-driven launchers
- Server owners who need a self-hosted community backend
- Multi-device players using both PC and phone
Quick Start
Windows
- Download the x64 or ia32 installer from Releases, or a complete portable package
- Run the installer; the installed build keeps existing accounts and settings
- Open the launcher, create or import a game instance, choose an account, and start the game
Android
- Download the Android client package from Releases
- Install it on an Android 10 or later device
- Sign in with your community account to use the forum, blueprint library, and multiplayer lobby
Community Server
- Deploy the community server package on a server
- Stop the service and back up the whole data directory and the .env file before upgrading
- After startup, manage the inbox, activities, and music authorization from the web console
Core Advantages
- Community out of the box: the launcher links to the forum, blueprint library, and shop, so signing in drops you into a complete community
- Multi-device sync: Windows and Android share one community account and content set
- All-in-one server: a single package self-hosts a backend with a web console and inbox
- Connection fallbacks: direct connections, virtual LAN, and a rate-limited relay cover the cases, so multiplayer no longer stalls on networking
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows (x64 / ia32), Android 10 or later |
| Server | A server environment able to host the community backend |
| Network | Internet needed for community features and the multiplayer lobby |
| Accounts | A community account and a Minecraft account |
Notes
- Stop the service and back up the data directory and .env file before deploying or upgrading the community server
- The multiplayer lobby uses an admin-enabled rate-limited relay when direct connection fails, which may limit speed
- Some community features require the server to be online
