Project Overview

Starlight Launcher is a free, open-source third-party Minecraft Java Edition launcher with native support for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It integrates Modrinth and CurseForge so you can browse and install mods, modpacks, resource packs, and shaders in one click, and it adds instance management, multiple account logins, and personalized appearance. Built on the Modrinth App and the Axolotl launcher, it removes commercial modules to focus on a clean, ad-free desktop experience.

Quick Start

1. Go to Releases and download the installer matching your system
2. Choose the .exe (NSIS) installer on Windows, the universal .dmg on macOS, and .AppImage / .deb / .rpm on Linux
3. Launch it and sign in with your Minecraft account
4. Create or import a game instance and pick a game version and loader
5. Browse Modrinth and CurseForge inside the launcher and install the mods or modpacks you need
6. Click start to launch the game
