README
Project Overview
DLSS5Tool is a local picture-quality tool for Windows that puts local media processing and real-time window enhancement into one workbench. It uses DLSS 5 neural rendering to super-resolve, interpolate, and enrich images and videos, with no game engine integration and no capture card required. It supports NVIDIA RTX 30, 40, and 50 series GPUs and ships with both Simplified Chinese and English interfaces in light and dark themes.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows 10 / 11 x64 |
| GPU requirement | NVIDIA RTX 30 / 40 / 50 series |
| Key capabilities | Super resolution, frame interpolation, real-time window enhancement |
| License | GPL-3.0 |
Enhance videos and game footage with neural rendering, locally.
Key Features
- Local media processing: import images or videos and apply DLSS 5 neural rendering
- Local super resolution: RTX Video 2x and 4x upscaling
- Frame interpolation export: export 2x, 3x, or 4x interpolated video, with higher factors marked experimental
- Split and side-by-side comparison: compare the original and enhanced result frame by frame
- Real-time window enhancement: select a running window and apply enhancement, scaling, and interpolation live
- Presets and schemes: built-in processing schemes plus saved personal presets
- Protected regions: protect fixed areas from being altered by enhancement
- Parameter management: group copy, revert, and undo for supported parameters, with live status
- Optional optical flow: the lite build bundles local NVOFA hardware flow, with RAFT available as an add-on
- Batch and export: queue jobs, keep the original format and resolution, or export losslessly as configured
Target Audience
- Users who want better local video quality
- Creators post-processing AI-generated material
- Gamers who want real-time enhancement of gameplay footage
- Windows users with NVIDIA RTX GPUs
Quick Start
- Download the portable zip from the release page and fully extract it to a writable directory
- Keep
DLSS5Tool.exenext to the_internalfolder; no Python or FFmpeg install is needed - Prepare the runtime for your GPU: RTX 40 uses the bundled one, while 30 and 50 series need the matching zip and a DLL placed in the
modsfolder - Open the app, drag in an image or video, and pick a style with its strength on the picture effects page
- Export the result or queue it for batch work; for live use, switch to the real-time mode and pick a source window
Core Advantages
- Ready out of the box: portable, self-contained, and runnable right after extraction
- Two modes in one place: local media processing and real-time window enhancement share one workbench
- Clear GPU guidance: separate runtime instructions for RTX 30, 40, and 50 series
- Batch friendly: queue processing and image-sequence-to-video suit large batches
- Chinese interface: Simplified Chinese is built in, making settings and messages easier to follow
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 / 11 x64 |
| GPU | NVIDIA RTX 30 / 40 / 50 series |
| Runtime | Microsoft Visual C++ x64 runtime |
| Other | Extract to a writable directory; no Python or FFmpeg needed |
Notes
- Results and speed vary by material and hardware: high resolution, 4x upscaling, interpolation, and optical flow all raise the time and VRAM cost
- High interpolation factors are experimental: 3x and 4x interpolation may show motion artifacts
- HDR export is limited: local export writes HDR10 and HLG color tags while the in-app preview stays SDR, and single static HDR images are unsupported
- Verify real-time enhancement in your own environment: real games, HDR, and multi-monitor results need confirmation on your setup
- Pick the right update package: the lite and full builds use different update packages, so never replace only the executable
