README
Project Overview
LegadoC is an Android reader improved from Legado with a focus on the listening experience. It merges the audiobook and novel interfaces so audio sources can display and interact with comments like novels do, and expands source capabilities, the interface, and narration voices. The app provides no content; you import your own sources.
Centered on listening, reorganizing reading, comments, and voices.
Key Features
- Listening first: a redesigned listening control panel with play/pause, previous/next paragraph and chapter, and a sleep timer
- Rich voices: AI voices, upgraded voices (mature-uncle, multi-role), and real human voices
- Comment system: read and reply to book, chapter, and paragraph comments; comment on paragraphs that have none
- Audiobook comments: extract comments from the novel version and attach them to the matching audiobook paragraphs
- Multimedia insertion: insert multimedia into content, with AI image generation
- AI cleaning: clean and replace content with AI
- Interface and shelf: a UI closer to mainstream reading apps, with an upgraded shelf and operations
- Discovery and sync: discovery browsing and bookshelf sync
Target Audience
- Users who mainly read novels by listening
- People who switch between sources and use audiobook sources
- Readers who take part in paragraph, chapter, and book discussions
- Advanced users wanting AI and multi-role narration
Quick Start
- Download the APK from Releases and open it
- Import sources in source management; the experience is fuller with audiobook sources included
- Open a book and use the listening panel to control narration, switch chapters, and set a timer
- Pick an AI or multi-role voice in the narration settings
- Use the paragraph comment entry to view or post book, chapter, and paragraph comments
Core Advantages
- Unified listening: audiobook and novel interfaces merge, so one set of controls covers both
- Interactive comments: paragraphs without comments can still be commented on, so discussion is not limited by sources
- Upgradable voices: multi-role and real human voices add depth to long books
- Extended source capability: a new comment data protocol supports more audiobook sources
