README
Project Overview
FusionTV-KitKat is an independent mod inheriting from OK TV KitKat (the FongMi/TV line), built for old Android 4.4 TVs and boxes with ARM32 and 1GB RAM. It carries extensive legacy-system compatibility and memory optimizations, shows as 「极速影视」 with a remote-control UI, and keeps the TVBox ecosystem's interface configuration style.
Makes decade-old TVs watchable again — configure it with one phone scan.
Key Features
- Legacy compatibility: works from Android 4.4 (API 19), KitKat dependency replacements with MultiDex, IJK playback by default
- QR-code setup: open the interface dialog on the TV, then scan to fill the address from a LAN config page
- Low-memory tuning: RGB_565 poster decoding with downsampling; image cache and Bitmap Pool capped at 16 MiB each
- HTTPS adaptation: LegacyTlsSocket and Mbed TLS 1.2 complete modern TLS handshakes on old systems
- Aggregated search: up to 5 worker threads with throttled UI refresh to ease the load
- Playback fallback: automatically tries later lines and sites when playback fails
- Remote-control UX: leanback interface, double-back exit confirmation, auto-focus on the first suggestion
- Source guidance: documented interface-compatibility tests and failure triage for Android 4.4
Target Audience
- Owners of Android 4.4 TVs
- Users of old ARM32 boxes
- TVBox interface users
- Households reviving legacy devices
Quick Start
- Download the arm32 APK from Releases and install it on the TV or box
- Open the app, go to Settings → VOD, and keep the interface dialog open
- Connect phone and TV to the same network, then scan the QR or open the shown address
- Enter the interface URL on the web page and confirm, then confirm again in the TV dialog
- Wait for sites and suggestions to load, then browse or search
Core Advantages
- Revives old hardware: full-chain trimming and adaptation for memory-pressured legacy TVs
- No typing on a remote: phone QR setup replaces character-by-character input
- Evidence-based sourcing: interface-type advice and failure checks instead of piling sources
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |

| Device | TV or box, remote-control operation |
| QR setup | phone and TV on the same LAN |
Notes
- The current build is a debug test package kept debuggable, for self-testing only
- The package name follows upstream; different signatures block overwrite installs, and uninstalling deletes original data
- Site availability depends on providers; on Android 4.4 prefer pure Type 0/1 collection interfaces
- The app inherits upstream's lenient certificate-validation policy; avoid transmitting sensitive credentials
