README
Project Overview
Bakabot turns setting up a Minecraft bot into a graphical workflow, so you can summon a bot that understands plain language without writing any code. Its core interaction is built on the open-source mineflayer framework, while the interface is written in C# with WPF and runs on Windows. It bundles AI provider presets, QQ bridging, a protocol proxy, and many behavior toggles, so once the server and model are configured you can start playing.
Command your bot in plain language and hand the repetitive grinding to it.
Key Features
- Natural-language commands: direct it to move, follow, mine, craft, build, farm, or fight in everyday words
- AI provider presets: groups of 30+ built-in providers that auto-fill the endpoint and model name, with one-click model listing
- QQ bot bridge: a built-in NapCat protocol client communicating over OneBot11, with in-game and QQ replies kept separate
- Protocol proxy: a bundled ViaProxy lets the bot join servers of different versions
- Multi-instance management: each bot keeps its own configuration and run state, and instances can run at once
- Trigger modes: hybrid, owner_only, keyword_only, and owner_keyword modes for different scenarios
- Command prompts: map a fixed keyword straight to a game command, such as
!homefor/home - Behavior reflexes: optional auto-defense, auto-eating, tool switching, TPA acceptance, auto-login, and death return
- MCP access: local stdio and cloud HTTP modes let clients such as Claude or Cursor drive the bot
- Appearance and updates: dark mode, drag-and-drop backgrounds, custom accent color, and update checks at startup
Target Audience
- Players who run their own Minecraft server
- Survival players who want idle automation
- People who want an AI bot in their QQ group
- mineflayer developers
Quick Start
- Open Settings, download and install the Node.js runtime, then download the bot base package
- Back on the home page click "Create bot" and fill in the server address, port, version, username, and auth type
- In the AI configuration pick a provider, enter your API key, and use "Fetch models" to choose a chat model
- Enter your own game ID as the owner name and choose the chat mode (whisper, the
/tellprivate mode, is recommended) - Optionally enable behavior switches such as auto-defense or auto-eating, then save and start
- In the in-game chat box type
/tell <bot name> <what you want it to do>to issue commands
Core Advantages
- Ready out of the box: the runtime download and base-package patching are built in, with no manual mineflayer setup
- Chinese-friendly: the interface, docs, and troubleshooting guide are all in Chinese, so beginners get going fast
- Two channels at once: the bot stays online in-game and on QQ, with replies kept on the right channel
- Cross-version access: ViaProxy lets the bot join servers of old and new versions alike
- Model freedom: works with 30+ providers at home and abroad plus local deployments, with keys in your hands
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 or later |
| Runtime | .NET 8 (the standalone single-file build needs none) |
| Dependencies | Node.js runtime, bot base package |
| Optional | Java 17 or later (when using ViaProxy) |
Notes
- The bot may trip a server's anti-cheat on join; if it is kicked, adjust its action frequency or disable related actions
- You must provide your own AI provider API key, and chat or vision depends on models that support the matching interface
- The QQ feature requires the bot's QQ number to match the one you log in with, or it will stall at the QR scan
- Some servers force a resource pack, so the first join may take a while
