Project Overview

Placard is an iOS app for browsing, creating, installing, and managing custom PosterBoard wallpapers. It ships with a community wallpaper catalog for searching, sorting, and previewing interactive wallpapers, and can turn vertical videos up to 12 seconds into looping or auto-reversing lock screen wallpapers. Through the sandbox extension technique provided by bad_query, it accesses the system PosterBoard container on supported devices without jailbreak.

Quick Start

1. Download the unsigned IPA from Releases and sign it with your own certificate, or build with Xcode
2. Open placard.xcodeproj in Xcode and select your development team under Signing & Capabilities
3. Build and run on a physical device, then browse the community catalog or import a .tendies package
4. Select a wallpaper and install it, then refresh SpringBoard to see it on the lock screen

Notes

• Private APIs: relies on undocumented Apple behavior; compatibility may change between iOS releases
• System wallpaper risk: installing or deleting system wallpaper data carries risk; use only on a device and OS version you are prepared to test
• Simulator limits: the Simulator can browse the catalog and develop the interface, but cannot install or manage system wallpapers
• Upstream licenses: upstream repositories such as bad_query and NeoSpring may not declare separate licenses; review terms before redistributing a build
