README

Project Overview

The EVE Industrial Assistant is a desktop app written in Python with PySide6 (Qt6), giving EVE Online players multi-region market price lookup, item search, manufacturing profit calculation and trading scores. On first launch it creates a local database, pulls item data and baseline prices and caches icons; afterwards everything runs on your machine. It supports Windows, macOS and Linux.

From price comparison to production planning in one flow, with prices and inventory kept on your own machine.

Key Features

  • Item lookup: type a Chinese/English name or Type ID to list all prefix matches instantly, and click a candidate for details
  • Detail panel: prices at five trade hubs, live top-5 buy and sell orders, refining outputs and manufacturing materials
  • Refining calculation: computes yield from character skills and station, with quantity and output selection
  • Trading scores: scores based on cross-region spreads, daily volume and taxes to find the best trade routes
  • Price infrastructure: concurrent order-book fetching, automatic staleness checks and watchlist price-change alerts
  • Industry and manufacturing: production plan management, blueprint search, targeted price refresh, Gantt view and multiple summary dialogs
  • Auto storage: finished products are stored into a designated hangar automatically
  • Dual themes: One Dark Pro and One Light switch at runtime with saved preferences

Target Audience

  • EVE Online industry and trade players
  • Traders who compare prices across regions
  • Players focused on manufacturing profit and scheduling

Quick Start

  1. Install uv and run uv sync --dev to create the environment and install dependencies
  2. Activate the environment and run python Main.py
  3. On first launch it creates the database, pulls item data and baseline prices and caches icons
  4. Use the query, appraisal, manufacturing, trade and inventory pages from the sidebar

Core Advantages

  • Local data: items, prices and inventory live in a local SQLite database for offline querying
  • Faster fetching: concurrent order-book retrieval cuts waiting time sharply
  • Ready out of the box: the release bundles read-only item and blueprint libraries, so first launch needs no long static-data parsing
  • Industry-focused: production plans, material expansion, Gantt view and auto storage form one workflow

System Requirements

Item Requirement
OS Windows, macOS, Linux
Runtime Python 3.14+
UI framework PySide6 (Qt6)
Storage Local SQLite

Notes

  • Unzip the whole release directory; the database/ and data/ folders next to the exe must not be deleted
  • Price and item data come from the third-party ESI and SDE interfaces and require a network connection
  • Follow the EVE Online third-party developer agreement when using the data
