Project Overview

99 Personal Player is an Android player dedicated to local audio files, with a Vite + React + TypeScript core packaged by Capacitor. It handles big libraries with MediaStore-based import and on-demand APE decoding, keeping the interface clean and permissions minimal — for users whose favorite songs aren't on mainstream platforms.

• Local playback: pick single or multiple audio files, or recursively import a whole folder
• Auto library scan: reads local audio via MediaStore, suited to libraries of thousands of songs
• Multi-playlist management: group songs into playlists and switch viewing and playback scope
• On-demand APE decoding: decodes .ape on first play without batch transcoding or touching source files
• Core controls: play, pause, previous/next, seek, volume, sequential and shuffle modes

Quick Start

1. Download the latest APK from GitHub Releases and install it
2. Tap the plus on a playlist card to add songs — single, multiple or a whole folder
3. For very large libraries, use the auto-read-local playlist to scan the media store
4. Press the play button beside a song; choose participating playlists under Now Playing
