README
Project Overview
HDSL (Hello DeepSeek Harness Launcher) is a DeepSeek Harness launcher for Windows that makes managing multiple Harness instances as intuitive as a Minecraft launcher. It ports and adapts HMCL's JavaFX window framework, sidebar, and list controls, and wires up Harness instances, runtimes, modpacks, plugins, and task management. The runtime ships with the package, so you can unzip and go without installing Java, Node, or pnpm separately.
Keep your DeepSeek Harness instances, accounts, and plugins in order.
Key Features
- Instance management: each instance stores its own working directory,
DSH_HOME,DSH_AGENTS_HOME, profile, and port - Account management: keeps API key accounts encrypted with the current Windows user's DPAPI and binds them to instances
- Runtime isolation: Harness is installed per exact version, and existing instances do not auto-upgrade when the list refreshes
- Modpack import and export: import PackForge
.dspackand Overture format 1 snapshots, and export shareable profile packs - Plugin management: search community projects from the GitHub dsh-plugin topic and install after verifying package declarations and npm releases
- Tasks and logs: background tasks, cancellation, logs, proxy configuration, and independent process-tree shutdown
- Appearance themes: five built-in whale-girl backgrounds, plus keep or replace with a local custom background
- Desktop download: look up the DeepSeek official Windows x64 desktop client and show download progress and checksum results
Target Audience
- Windows users of DeepSeek Harness
- Developers who need isolated instances
- People who want to manage accounts and plugins in one place
- Users used to Minecraft launcher workflows
Quick Start
- Download
HDSL-0.2.0-windows-x64.zipfrom Releases and extract it fully into a folder - Open the extracted
HDSLfolder and double-clickHDSL.exe(do not copy the exe alone) - Enter a proxy in Settings, for example
http://127.0.0.1:7890, and save - Open "Create instance" and pick an exact version from the auto-refreshed list; the default profile is
web - On the "Accounts" page you can save an API key account and bind it to an instance; saving only records configuration and sends no billable request
- Click start; dependencies install on first use, then the web workspace opens
Core Advantages
- Familiar like a MC launcher: the interface and workflows follow HMCL, so it is quick to learn
- Encrypted accounts: API keys are stored locally with system DPAPI encryption
- Version isolation: instances install per exact version, so they do not interfere and upgrades stay controllable
- No extra environment: Java, Node, and pnpm come bundled, so it works right after extraction
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
| Runtime | Bundled, none to install separately |
| Building from source | JDK 21 or later |
Notes
- It must be fully extracted and run from the folder; copying
HDSL.exealone will not work - Share exports exclude credentials, sessions, private settings, and patch files that may hold secrets, so reconfiguration is needed after import
- External plugin and modpack install scripts are off by default, and plugins needing a native build may require extra steps
- Account binding only records configuration; it does not test the API connection or send billable requests
