README
Project Overview
Legado for macOS is a native macOS reader built with SwiftUI, aiming to bring the Legado book sources, bookshelf, and reading features from Android to Apple's desktop platform. It keeps the Legado JSON rule format, so Android book sources and shelf data can be imported directly, and supports online search, source switching, chapter caching, and RSS. The interface uses a native macOS dark layout that stays close to system conventions.
Move Legado's sources and reading habits into a native macOS app, as-is.
Key Features
- Source management: import, edit, enable/disable, and batch-export book sources
- Data migration: imports Android book source JSON and shelf JSON
- Local reading: TXT and EPUB import, chapter detection, and per-chapter reading
- Online reading: online search, source discovery, source switching, chapter caching, and preloading
- Rule parsing: CSS, JSONPath, XPath, regex, and JavaScript rules, including JSOUP chained rules and recursive JSONPath
- RSS subscription: standard RSS/Atom, custom RSS rules, paging, and article bodies
- Reading records: progress, scroll position, bookmarks, history, and replacement rules
- Data management: JSON backup and restore, cover cache, network proxy, and custom shortcuts
Target Audience

- People with a large Legado source collection wanting to move to desktop
