Project Overview

Universal Translator is an all-in-one translation tool for Windows: drag files, documents, games or images into the window and it detects the format, then extracts, translates and replaces text, replacing the juggle between file managers and multiple translation apps.

Everything is processed locally so files never leave your computer; PDFs are auto-classified as text or scanned, game scripts support Ren'Py and KiriKiri, and images go through OCR with annotated output.

Quick Start

1. Download the full edition (with OCR) or lite exe from Releases
2. Double-click to run, no dependencies to install
3. Drag files or folders into the window and wait for the scan
4. Pick a translation engine and target language, then start
5. Export results, choosing a save location for single files or batch-downloading many

Notes

• Pick the right edition: image translation and scanned-PDF recognition require the full edition, lite has no OCR
• Encrypted archives unsupported: encrypted KiriKiri xp3 packages cannot be unpacked for translation
• Engine scope: Unity and UE resource packs and in-binary strings are not supported yet
• Engine quotas: MyMemory has daily limits and Baidu's free quota is small, heavy use benefits from your own keys
