README

Project Overview

ThirdHub is a third-party content aggregation platform consisting of a Flutter Android client and a Node.js home backend. The backend ships four content engines for book, image, video and music sources, gathering novels, comics, video and music in one place; the client builds on that with reading, media browsing, an AI agent, peer networking and plugin extensions, suiting users who like hosting their own aggregation sources.

Novels, comics, video and music in one place, backed by your own home backend.

Key Features

  • Content engines: built-in Legado book sources, Venera image sources, drpy video sources, LX music sources and TVBox video source adaptation, covering novels, comics, video and music
  • Reading: novel reader with fonts, reading statistics, TTS and local import
  • Media: gallery, built-in browser, photo map and picture-in-picture
  • AI agent: an agent based on the THA/1 protocol with task initiation, event streams and auditing, degrading to a lightweight mode without a backend
  • Peer networking: a PH/1 peer hub for device discovery and joining, with plugins able to reach the front end without a backend
  • Plugin system: a plugin SDK and example plugins for on-demand extension
  • Offline toolbox: a zero-dependency local toolbox usable offline
  • Home backend: a Node.js backend deployable locally or with Docker, with certificate fingerprint check on first connection

Target Audience

  • Users who like hosting their own content aggregation service
  • Users who want an all-in-one reading, video and music app

Quick Start

  1. Get the Android client package (arm64-v8a) from the download center
  2. Deploy the backend: run node index.js in the server directory, or use deploy/install-linux.sh for one-step setup
  3. Keep the client and server on the same network and verify the certificate fingerprint on first connection
  4. Configure the content sources and modules you need in the client
  5. For Docker: docker build -t thirdhub-backend ., then run it with port 9527 mapped

Core Advantages

  • Well aggregated: four content engines bring different sources into one client
  • Data you control: the home backend can run locally, so content and data stay yours
  • AI and peer networking: a built-in agent and peer hub make the platform extensible
  • Open plugins: an SDK and examples make extending it straightforward

System Requirements

Item Requirement
Client Android (arm64-v8a), built with Flutter
Backend Node.js 20 and above, HTTPS on port 9527
Deployment Local run, one-step script or Docker

Notes

  • The client and backend must verify the self-signed certificate fingerprint on first connection
  • Content comes from third-party sources; follow the relevant copyright and terms of service
