Project Overview
Neokikoeru is a high-performance streaming media server for DLsite voice works and an alternative to Kikoeru, designed to be robust, fast, and user-friendly. The backend is written in Go with a Vue.js web UI, compiled into a single cross-platform binary, with a Docker image also available. Works can come from local folders or a dozen storage sources including Baidu Netdisk, OneDrive, Google Drive, Aliyun Drive, 115, 123 Pan, Dropbox, Box, Yandex Disk, pCloud, and WebDAV, scraped automatically into the library after scanning.
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | Windows, macOS, Linux, Docker |
| Stack | Go + Vue.js single binary |
| Default port | 5233 |
| Storage | Local, cloud drives, WebDAV — a dozen sources |
Drop your voice-work library in and it scrapes itself into a media library — local or cloud.
Key Features
- Multi-source storage: beyond local folders, supports Baidu Netdisk, OneDrive, Google Drive, Aliyun Drive, 115, 123 Pan, Dropbox, Box, Yandex Disk, pCloud, and WebDAV
- Auto scraping: scans folders by work ID, fetches metadata in the background, with progress on the tasks page
- Powerful search: multi-keyword intersection,
-prefix exclusion, right-click progressive filtering, and an advanced filter panel - Subtitle linking: auto-loads
.lrc,.vtt,.srt,.assfiles named after the audio, with Document Picture-in-Picture display - File safe:
neokikoeru encryptprotects privacy with on-device encryption, auto-decrypted during playback - File indexing: indexes build automatically while browsing, refreshable after source changes
- Flexible deployment: register as a Windows service for autostart, or deploy with Docker Compose behind a reverse proxy
- Drive relay: redirects by default to save server bandwidth; force-proxy mode relays through the server for compatibility issues
Target Audience
- DLsite voice-work collectors
- NAS self-hosting users
- Cloud-drive librarians
- Users who value smooth playback
Quick Start
- Download the binary for your platform from Releases, or install via Homebrew or Scoop
- Run
neokikoeru serve(Windows users can double-clickneokikoeru.exe); it listens on port5233by default - The console prints the auto-created admin account and initial password on first launch; log in at
http://localhost:5233 - Add a storage pointing to your voice-work folders (folder names must include work IDs) and click Scan
- Reset a forgotten password with
neokikoeru admin reset-pwd
Core Advantages
- Go single binary: runs cross-platform with no extra dependencies across Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Storage freedom: a dozen cloud drives and WebDAV mount directly, keeping your library off local disk
- Privacy in your hands: the file safe encrypts locally and the service is fully self-hosted
System Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| OS | Windows, macOS, Linux (amd64 / arm64) |
| Deployment | Single binary, or Docker image vscodev/neokikoeru |
| Port | 5233 (reverse proxy supported) |
| Browser | Document Picture-in-Picture support enables floating subtitles |
Notes
- Work IDs required: work folder names must contain the DLsite work ID for scraping to identify them
- Never rename encrypted files: safe-encrypted files end with
.d2dcryptand cannot be decrypted after renaming - Local deletion is permanent: deleting works on local storage removes the source files for good; cloud drives move them to the trash first
- Initialize before service mode: run the app in the foreground once before registering it as a Windows service, so the admin account gets created
