Project Overview

UTvTU is a vocal-production workstation based on OpenUTAU that puts singing editing, synthesis, mixing and audio delivery into one workflow. Formerly OpenUTAU Plus, it carries its own Material Design 3 theme and controls balancing dynamic color with the information density DAW editing needs, currently targeting Windows 10/11 x64.

• Singing editing: piano roll for notes, lyrics, pitch and expressions, keeping OpenUTAU's phonemization and synthesis workflow
• Multi-engine synthesis: supports classic UTAU voicebanks and engines like DiffSinger
• Mixer console: track faders, pan, mute/solo, live level meters, plus built-in EQ, compressor and reverb
• VST3 hosting: audio-effect scanning, loading, native editors and parameter state saving, with add, bypass and reorder on effect chains
• Offline export: dedicated exporter plug-in instances render stereo mixes or stems in WAV 16/24/32-bit at multiple sample rates
• MD3 interface: dynamic role-based colors, light and dark themes and unified control behavior with a compact DAW editor
• Project compatibility: .ustxp saves projects and plug-in states, compatible with .ustx and upstream project imports
• Asset library: browse, search, audition and drag in voicebanks, accompaniments and effects

Quick Start

1. Install from Releases; the runtime is bundled, no separate .NET needed
2. Create a project, then install and select the voicebanks you need
3. Edit notes and lyrics in the arrangement view and piano roll
4. Adjust the mixer and bounce your final audio from the render page

Notes

• VST instruments, send and sidechain routing, and full plug-in delay compensation are still in development
• The focus is the Windows vocal workflow; macOS and Linux are not current validation targets
• Renamed from OpenUTAU Plus; the user data directory keeps the old name and needs no migration
