README

Project Overview

Lumia Launcher is a cross-platform Minecraft launcher built with Rust and Tauri 2, with a Vue 3 and TypeScript interface. Its installer is small and starts fast, and it bundles complete version management and resource downloading. It also ships an in-house plugin language called Lumi, with Python-like syntax, letting users with no programming background write extensions for the launcher.

Light and quick to launch, and extensible with near-plain-language scripts.

Key Features

  • Multi-version management: install, update, and remove vanilla plus Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, and Quilt versions
  • One-click launch: automatically matches a suitable Java version at launch
  • Premium login: the full Microsoft-to-Minecraft token chain
  • Online play: multiplayer support based on Terracotta
  • Resource downloads: versions, mods, modpacks, resource packs, and shaders in one place
  • Domestic mirror: BMCLAPI integration for downloads without a proxy
  • Mod ecosystems: supports both Modrinth and CurseForge
  • Built-in music player: with a persistent playback bar
  • AI assistant panel: call an AI assistant right inside the launcher
  • Crash reports: view logs to diagnose launch failures
  • Plugin system: the in-house Lumi language, event-driven and packageable
  • Languages and themes: a dark, flat interface with seven UI languages

Target Audience

  • Minecraft players who want a light, fast launcher
  • Players using Forge, Fabric, and other mod loaders
  • Ordinary users who want to write launcher extensions
  • Users who need a Chinese interface and domestic mirror acceleration

Quick Start

  1. Go to the official site's download page, which detects your platform and offers the matching installer
  2. Download .exe for Windows, .dmg for macOS, and see the site for Linux
  3. After installing, open the launcher and sign in with a Microsoft account for premium verification
  4. Install the vanilla or mod-loader version you need in version management
  5. Set the Java path and memory allocation in settings, choosing Java manually if needed
  6. To extend it, install a .lplugin package or a folder-based plugin

Core Advantages

  • Light on resources: the Rust and Tauri combination keeps size and startup time friendly
  • Low plugin barrier: the Lumi language reads almost like plain text, so beginners can use it
  • Resources within reach: domestic mirrors plus two mod ecosystems make downloads smooth
  • A complete experience: music player, AI assistant, and crash reports live in the launcher

System Requirements

Notes

  • This is currently a beta, so features and interfaces may change
  • When installing mods or modpacks manually, watch the version and loader match
  • macOS offers Touch Bar control; other platforms do not
  • Plugins run inside the launcher, so verify the source before installing third-party ones
