Project Overview

QQPet is an offline remake of QQ Pet, the desktop pet a generation grew up with, rebuilt from the Arctic Penguin T800 reverse-engineering project. Original Flash content plays through Ruffle, nothing depends on a server, and all progress is stored locally.

It covers six platforms: Windows, macOS and Linux desktops; Android and HarmonyOS keep the pet in a floating window; iOS achieves a global desktop pet through special installers. Any OpenAI-compatible API can be connected so the pet can chat, comment on clipboard text and more.

Quick Start

1. Download your platform's installer from Releases (dmg, exe, AppImage, apk, deb, hap all available)
2. Launch and adopt your first pet on the egg page, or import an old save directly
3. On desktop, right-click the pet for feeding, cleaning and jobs
4. On Android/HarmonyOS, grant floating window and notification permissions on first launch
5. For AI chat: enter any OpenAI-compatible endpoint and key in settings

Notes

• Copyright: QQ Pet artwork and SWF belong to Tencent, for learning only, no commercial use
• iOS limits: the global pet relies on private system APIs that regular developer signing cannot replace, and must be re-enabled after reboot
• No HarmonyOS autostart: the current SDK has no boot broadcast, start the pet manually
• Clipboard: Android and HarmonyOS forbid background clipboard reads, share text to the pet via the share menu
