Project Overview

DeskCanvas is an Electron-based desktop wallpaper studio for Windows. Describe what you imagine in plain language and it generates a wallpaper image via DALL·E 3 or a complete HTML live wallpaper via an LLM, injecting it onto the desktop through WorkerW; any local HTML work can also become your wallpaper.

Quick Start

  1. Install Node.js 18+ and clone the repository
  2. Run npm install to install dependencies
  3. Run npm run dev for development mode, or npm run build to produce installer and portable builds
  4. Fill in the AI configuration (provider, API key, model) on the Settings page and start generating
