Project Overview

There is usually no official way to follow comic dramas on a Windows PC and pick up from a share link sent by your phone, so Hongguo Manju Desktop takes the approach of a standalone client: built with Electron, React and TypeScript, it covers recommendation charts, share-link import, episode play and full-series background caching, keeping viewing records on your machine. The current version is 0.6.0 (testing).

Key Features

• Four ways to find shows: recommendation, trending and new-release charts plus title search; importing a share link or pasted share text adds it to favorites automatically
• Play and continuous watch: speed, fullscreen, picture-in-picture and auto-continue; when a season ends it automatically chains the uniquely matched next season, or shows up to six similar titles when none exists
• Full-series background caching: the current episode is prepared first while the rest cache in the background, with 2 / 4 / 6 parallel lanes, pause, retry and tray-resident operation
• Cache policy: adjustable default 20 GiB retention quota, total download rate limit, per-show priority and resumable transfers verified by strong ETag
• Four UI themes: Xuanzhi Scroll, Midnight Cinema, Streaming Light and Pixel Cinema, switched from the top "Appearance" menu with instant effect
• Local records: favorites and positions live under %APPDATA%/红果漫剧桌面版/, reopening picks up where you left off, and uninstall keeps them by default
• In-app updates: checked about 2 s after launch and every 4 hours after, downloaded and installed only after your confirmation

Interface and Controls

The home page uses an ivory background with vermilion buttons and top tabs for charts or search; the player shows the video at original ratio on the left and the episode list on the right, with the control bar auto-hiding after about 2.5 s of idle fullscreen. The cache center shows directory, usage and free space, and supports changing the directory with full migration verification.

Quick Start

1. Download Hongguo-Manju-0.6.0-Windows-x64.exe from the 0.6.0 release page
2. Double-click to install and launch from the desktop or Start menu
3. Pick a show on the home page or click "Import Link" and paste share text from your phone
4. Click "Cache current season" for offline viewing, or just let auto-continue run

• Unofficial client: no affiliation with or authorization from Hongguo; content rights belong to their owners
• Depends on upstream APIs: content and playback availability rely on third-party interfaces, which may change and break features
• Source ZIP is not the installer: the auto-generated Source code ZIP cannot run directly; regular users should download the .exe
• Not code-signed: the installer has no Windows publisher signature configured yet
