Project Overview

HongguoTV is a free short-drama client that installs on TVs and boxes, bringing live-action dramas and comics into one place: guests can watch, favorite and like right away, and after signing in with their own Hongguo account by phone number, favorites, likes and progress sync automatically. The UI is a native layout tuned for remote controls, with circular-avatar colorful danmaku and comments; the current version is 0.9.112 with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English interfaces. This repository provides installer packages and update info only and contains no application source code.

Key Features

• Four entries: fullscreen recommendation preview, Discover (charts plus full-library search), Mine and Settings — all operated with arrow keys and OK
• Account sync: favorites, likes and progress save locally first and upload automatically once logged in and online; progress conflicts resolve by watch time
• Colorful danmaku: multicolor half-screen by default with circular user avatars on the left, plus fullscreen, opacity, speed and color settings
• Continuous watching: next-episode preload, auto-continue and resume, with adjustable quality, speed and picture mode
• Comments: episode comment lists page downward, and likes reflect instantly
• Multilingual: switch language in Settings; the choice is remembered on the device

Remote Control

Top tabs switch with ←→ and open with OK; in recommendation and episode fullscreen, ↑↓ moves between shows or episodes and OK pauses; ←→ or the menu key summons the control layer; grouped episode lists and pagination keep focus stable.

Installation

Save the official APK to a USB drive root from the download page, plug it into the box and install with the built-in file tool; without USB, use wireless methods such as Send Files to TV or Downloader. Brand-specific illustrated guides cover Xiaomi, Dangbei, Tencent Aurora, Tmall Magic Box, Zidoo, Himedia, SHIELD, Fire TV and more. Non-Android systems such as Samsung Tizen and LG webOS are not applicable.
