Project Overview

Maintained by lukaschan, GuoApp tvOS is the Apple TV native edition of Hongguojian/Zhengguojian, split from the upstream Xanerix/guoapp repository: it shares the Go core and the DuanjuRequest JSON protocol with the main repo while the interface is written independently in SwiftUI. Playback goes through MPVKit (libmpv) instead of AVPlayer, because Hongguo streams are CENC-encrypted and raw keys must reach the decoder via FFmpeg demuxer options. Two builds ship with identical features and differ only in source scope: Hongguojian carries the Hongguo source only, while Zhengguojian carries all sources.

One Apple TV plus one sideloaded IPA turns the living room into a short-drama screen.

Installation & Signing

1. Download the IPA for the target build from Releases, with tags like tvos-v0.2.74-84 for Hongguojian and Zhengguojian each
2. The IPA is unsigned and must be signed with Xcode on a Mac before installing to Apple TV
3. Aggregating third-party sources carries App Store compliance risk, so distribution is via sideloading or TestFlight

Notes

• Storage limits: the tvOS sandbox only allows writing to Caches and tmp, watchlist and progress live in Caches and may be purged when storage runs low
• Unported features: downloads and LAN interconnect are not available yet
• Danmaku unavailable: the danmaku UI is reserved but not yet fixed
• Source dependency: content comes from third-party sites, API changes may break playback
